Solano, Nueva Vizcaya – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Nueva Vizcaya concluded its seven (7)-day 3rd Level Training on the 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and the Family Income and Expenditure
Survey (FIES) First Visit at the Highlander Hotel, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya.

Held from 01 July to 07 July, the training equipped the PSO’s hired Statistical Researchers (SR) and field personnel with the necessary knowledge and skills for the effective conduct of data collection.

Several topics were discussed, including concepts and definitions of labor and income-related subjects, survey operations and guidelines, and the use of the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) system.

The LFS collects data on household members' demographic and socio-economic characteristics, serving as a key source for labor statistics and supporting labor market policy planning. Meanwhile, the FIES provides essential data on family income and spending, used to assess poverty, living standards, and economic disparities across the country.

The field enumeration officially kicks off on 08 July 2025, with SRs expected to visit selected households across the province.
