07 July 2025 – CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA. The Philippine Statistics Authority – Isabela Provincial Statistical Office (PSA-Isabela) successfully concluded                he 3^rd  Level Training on the July 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit 1, conducted from 30 June to 01–05 and 07 July 2025 at Piazza Zicarelli Hotel, Restaurant and Bakeshop, Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

The training was participated in by personnel from the PSA Regional Statistical Services Office II (RSSO II), led by Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Officer-in-Charge. Also present were Mr. Ernesto M. de Peralta, Jr., Officer-in-Charge of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD), and Ms. Ria M. Suyo, Statistical Specialist II and Regional Focal Person, who served as resource speakers and facilitators during the training.

In his message, Mr. Julius M. Emperador, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA-Isabela, highlighted the importance of collecting accurate data and maintaining professionalism during all stages of fieldwork. He likewise expressed his sincere appreciation to the regional office for its steadfast support and active involvement in ensuring the successful implementation of the training.

The seven-day activity capacitated a total of 60 hired personnel — composed of six (6) Team Supervisors and 54 Enumerators — who will be deployed to collect data from selected households in the province. The training aimed to strengthen their understanding of survey concepts, standard field procedures, and the application of the Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing (CAPI) system. The training also featured practical exercises and mock interviews to enhance their confidence and readiness for actual field operations.

Field operations for the July 2025 round of the LFS and FIES Visit 1 will commence from 08 to 31 July 2025.

The LFS and FIES are two of PSA’s major surveys that provide important data on employment, income, and spending of Filipino families. The results serve as valuable inputs for evidence-based policymaking, program planning, and socio-economic development initiatives at both national and local levels.
