Second Stop: PSA Cagayan Presents 2024 CBMS Preliminary Results in Peñablanca

02 July 2025 – Peñablanca, Cagayan. As part of its ongoing province-wide rollout of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) operations, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted its second preliminary results presentation at the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Peñablanca on July 2, 2025.
The presentation featured key community-level statistics, covering household demographics, poverty incidence, education, health status, and access to basic services. These data sets are designed to assist local government officials in developing more responsive, evidence-based plans that directly address the needs of their constituents.
In her remarks, PSA Cagayan Officer-in-Charge Cristeta M. Retoma highlighted the significance of CBMS in fostering inclusive governance. “CBMS data empowers local governments to identify the real needs of their communities. We are pleased to see Peñablanca taking an active role in this data-driven approach to local planning,” she said.
Representing the local government, Executive Assistant Juan H. Lingan Jr. led the expression of gratitude for PSA Cagayan’s continued support in advancing transparency and good governance through reliable and timely statistics. Also present during the event were other LGU officials and department heads, who participated attentively throughout the presentation.
