PSA Quirino CBMS team, headed by CSS Agustin receives the Plaque of Recognition on 08 August 2025 at the LDRRMO Function Room in Cabarroguis, Quirino
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Quirino Provincial Statistical Office has achieved a significant milestone after being awarded as the first province in the entire Cagayan Valley Region and second nationwide to successfully complete the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Data Turnover.
The recognition was presented on August 8, 2025, during the last CBMS Data Turnover Ceremony held at the LDRRMO Function Room in the Municipality of Cabarroguis. This event marked the conclusion of the series of CBMS data turnovers conducted across all local government units (LGUs) in the province.
Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Engr. Cherry Grace D. Agustin, together with the CBMS team headed by Provincial Focal Person Engr. Marison S. Lomboy, received the Plaque of Recognition from PSA Regional Statistical Services Office II representative, Senior Statistical Specialist Ma. Juvy S. Agbayani who personally handed over the award.
The Plaque of Recognition, signed by Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Chief Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge of PSA RSSO II, commends PSA Quirino for its dedication, initiative, and support in implementing the 2024 CBMS. The award also highlights the office’s proactive commitment to promoting data-driven governance and inclusive development.
CSS Agustin extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Provincial Local Government of Quirino, the six Local Government Units, valued stakeholders, and most especially to the silent heroes-the enumerators whose dedication and hard work made the timely and accurate completion of the CBMS data collection and turnover possible.
“This achievement is a testament to the unity, hard work, and commitment of our team and partners in delivering quality statistics that will serve as a strong foundation for local planning and policymaking,” said CSS Agustin.
The 2024 CBMS delivers comprehensive and up-to-date data on poverty indicators and socio-economic conditions at the local level, empowering LGUs to design responsive and evidence-based programs and policies. By successfully completing the data turnover in all municipalities, PSA Quirino reaffirms its role as a leader in statistical excellence and innovation.
