Ilocos and Cagayan Valley Regions, September 13, 2024 – The Philippine Statistics Authority's Regional Statistical Services Offices I and II successfully conducted a webinar for Local Government Units (LGUs) across the Ilocos and Cagayan Valley regions, drawing 260 participants via Google Meet. The session focused on the key features of Republic Act 11055, the Philippine Identification System Act, and its authentication services.

Opening the event, Ms. Zenaida L. Garcillan, Registration Officer IV of PSA RSSO I, emphasized the importance of engaging in discussions about the National ID Authentication Services, highlighting the benefits of streamlined transactions for LGUs. “We appreciate your presence today and hope you will consider using our authentication services to enjoy seamless transactions without needing to fill out forms,” Garcillan stated.

Mr. Chris Flores, National ID Focal Person from PSA Pangasinan, provided insights into RA 11055, explaining the National ID's functions and showcasing the newly launched Digital National ID. Following this, Ms. Ma. Iseendra N. Miguel, Registration Officer III of PSA RSSO II, presented the National ID Check, created to serve as a platform between the individuals and various Relying Parties, including LGUs.

The webinar concluded with a detailed Q&A segment, allowing Local Chief Executives and staff to address their concerns. Ms. Daisy L. Villar, Registration Officer IV of PSA RSSO II, wrapped up the event by encouraging participants to leverage the Digital National ID and enroll in the PSA's authentication services.
