PSA-Cagayan Presents the Preliminary 2024 CBMS Results to Officials of Santa Praxedes, Cagayan

07 July 2025 – Santa Praxedes, Cagayan. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) - Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office presented the preliminary results of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the Local Government Unit of Santa Praxedes in a data presentation held on July 7, 2025.
Held at the Santa Praxedes Municipal Hall, the data presentation also featured selected results from the municipality’s 2022 CBMS, as Santa Praxedes was among the first to participate in the initial CBMS rollout. The inclusion of both 2022 and 2024 data allowed the LGU to perform a comparative assessment of key indicators, enabling a clearer understanding of trends, developments, and emerging challenges over the two-year period.
The event was attended by Hon. Esterlina A. Aguinaldo, Local Chief Executive of Santa Praxedes, along with municipal officials and Barangay Captains from across the locality who actively took part in discussions regarding the implications of the data for local planning and development.
Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) Sheryll Elaine S. Rigua-Estrella led the presentation on behalf of Cristeta M. Retoma, Officer-in-Charge of PSA–Cagayan, emphasizing the value of data in driving informed decision-making and effective governance.
The CBMS is a crucial tool that provides comprehensive, localized data to guide evidence-based policymaking, resource allocation, and development planning at the grassroots level.
