
BAMBANG, NUEVA VIZCAYA — The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bambang, in collaboration with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Nueva Vizcaya, conducted the presentation of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Preliminary Results on July 9, 2025, at the Sangguniang Bayan Hall, Municipal Hall of Bambang.
Representing the Office of the Mayor was Atty. Paolo Sierra, Executive Assistant II, joined by LGU Bambang’s department heads and staff who actively participated in the activity. The presentation was spearheaded by Ms. Ma. Socorro M. Betwag, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Focal Person, from PSA Nueva Vizcaya.
The activity featured a comprehensive discussion of Bambang’s initial CBMS data, providing detailed insights into the socio-economic conditions of local communities. The department heads showed strong engagement, raising various questions to clarify and verify the findings. Their inquiries were thoroughly addressed through the assistance of Sir Ernesto De Peralta, Officer-in-Charge of the PSA’s Statistical Operations and Coordination Division, whose expertise further enriched the discussion.
The activity concluded on a high note, with participants expressing eagerness to translate the data into meaningful interventions. Many shared their appreciation for CBMS as a powerful tool in identifying local needs and guiding in program planning. The consensus: CBMS is not just a data collection activity—it’s a game-changer in crafting targeted, evidence-based solutions.
