Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya — July 30, 2025. With the goal of better understanding the realities on the ground, local officials of Kasibu gathered at the Municipal Training Center for the presentation of the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results — a data set that paints a clearer picture of the lives, challenges, and needs of their people.
The activity was attended by the heads of various LGU departments, who came together to review findings that will help shape future programs, services, and priorities for the municipality.
The data presentation was led by Ms. Ma. Socorro M. Betwag, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Focal Person from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Nueva Vizcaya. The CBMS preliminary results include key indicators such as household income, access to education and healthcare, water and sanitation, and employment — all critical to forming a clear baseline for planning and development.
Throughout the discussion, LGU participants noted that while numbers may appear technical, they are deeply personal — reflecting the day-to-day realities of Kasibu’s residents. Officials expressed the need to use this data not just as reference material, but as a compass for creating more meaningful and inclusive solutions, especially for underserved barangays and remote communities.
The event signaled Kasibu’s commitment to making thoughtful, community-informed decisions, recognizing that lasting progress starts with understanding where people truly stand.
