29 May 2025 – CITY OF ILAGAN. In its ongoing commitment to promoting inclusive and accessible civil registration, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Isabela (PSA-Isabela), in partnership with the Local Civil Registry Office of Cordon, successfully held a mobile registration under the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) on 29 May 2025 in the municipality of Cordon, Isabela.
The initiative was designed to bring civil registration services directly to the community, particularly targeting individuals who face challenges in accessing local civil registry offices due to distance, mobility issues, or financial limitations. The event saw strong community participation and underscored the vital importance of every individual’s right to a legal identity.
Elderly applicants were assisted with the delayed registration of their births, including several nonagenarians. Notably, 97-year-old Ms. Enriqueta M. Oripon expressed her joy at being included for verification under the project. Likewise, 94-year-old couple Mr. Macario and Ms. Natividad Esperanzate expressed their interest in availing of the BRAP services.
The outreach activity is part of PSA – Isabela’s continuing efforts to promote timely, accessible and inclusive civil registration services. In line with the government’s mandate to uphold every citizen right to legal identity and recognition.
