TUGUEGARAO CITY, July 19, 2024 – The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office 02 (PSA RSSO II) was lauded for facilitating National ID registrations during Pamilya ng Pulis, PNP Family Day, underscoring commitment to community and police welfare. The ceremony took place on July 19,2024 at the Police Regional Office 02 Grandstand, Camp Marcello A. Adduru, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.
During his address, Police Brigadier General (PBGEN) Christopher Birung, PNP Regional Director, expressed gratitude to various government agencies including the Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office No. 02 (DA RFO 02), Land Transportation Office, Tuguegarao (LTO-Tug), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) - Tuguegarao, and Professional Regulation Commission 02 (PRC 02) for their steadfast support and assistance to police personnel and their families. He underscored the pivotal role of healthy police officers and their families in fostering vibrant communities.
As part of the event, PBGEN. Birung and his family registered for their National IDs. He highlighted the importance of registration, emphasizing its significance in enhancing investigative services. He also expressed willingness to utilize the National ID's authentication services to ensure accurate identification of all PNP applicants in Region 02.
Throughout the caravan, PSA registered a total of 19 policemen and their dependents, issued 8 digital National IDs, and provided guidance to 10 individuals on civil registration matters.
