PSA-Cagayan Presents the Preliminary 2024 CBMS Results to Officials of Lasam, Cagayan

01 July 2025 – Lasam, Cagayan. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office officially commenced the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Presentation of Preliminary Results with the Municipality of Lasam on 01 July 2025, making it the first local government unit (LGU) in the province to be presented with its initial data report.

The presentation, held at the Lasam Municipal Hall, aimed to share key findings from the 2024 CBMS data collection. The report includes indicators on household population, poverty status, education, health, and access to basic services. These data-driven insights are expected to play a vital role in guiding evidence-based planning, resource allocation, and policy development at the local level.
 

Representing PSA-Cagayan Officer-in-Charge Cristeta M. Retoma, the presentation was led by Senior Statistical Specialist (SrSS) and Provincial POPCEN-CBMS Focal Person Sheryll Elaine S. Rigua-Estrella, alongside PSA-RSSO II SrSS Ma. Juvy S. Agbayani.

The event was attended by Hon. Dante Dexter Agatep, Local Chief Executive of Lasam, together with various LGU officials and department heads who welcomed the CBMS findings as an important tool for informed governance and community development.
