
May 1, 2025, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan ––– The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region II actively participated in the 123rd Labor Day Service Caravan organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Regional Office No. 02. on May 1, 2025. The event was conducted simultaneously in various locations across the region, reinforcing the government’s commitment to bringing essential public services closer to the people.
PSA Region II offered a range of services in support of job seekers and the public. These included registration for the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) or National ID, issuance of the National ID in paper format, and assistance with updating or correcting demographic data. Across the region, PSA successfully registered 38 individuals for the National ID, issued 31 paper-based National IDs, and processed 09 demographic data updates.
In Tuguegarao City, the PSA Regional Office participated in the caravan held at SM City Tuguegarao, where a Civil Registration Service (CRS) Mobile Outlet was set up. This outlet provided on-the-spot issuance of vital civil registry documents such as birth certificates, Death certificates, marriage certificates, and certificates of no marriage (CENOMAR). A total of 54 civil registry documents were released during the one-day mobile service, aiding job seekers in securing the necessary documents for employment application.
“These efforts demonstrate PSA Region II’s ongoing commitment to deliver fast, reliable, and accessible services to the public,” Daisy Villar, Registration Officer IV. “Through our participation in the Labor Day Service Caravan, we continue to support job seekers by ensuring that key identification and civil registry documents are within their reach.” Villar added.
