Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) Nueva Vizaya conducted a dissemination forum on the Inflation Report for May 2025 on 26 June 2025 at PSA Nueva Vizcaya.

Chief Statistical Specialist Cholly L. Bayon reported that the headline inflation rate in the province dropped to 0.9 percent in May 2025, continuing its downward trend. This marks a decrease from 1.2 percent in April 2025 and 3.7 percent in May 2024. From January to May 2025, the average inflation rate was 2.0 percent. The primary driver of the decline was the slower rise in prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages, especially rice, fish, and ginger. These factors significantly contributed to the easing of inflation in the province.

In line with its commitment to transparency and public engagement, the program was also broadcasted live via the official Facebook page of PSA Nueva Vizcaya allowing the general public and stakeholders to follow the report virtually.
