12 December 2024 – TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN. As part of the Statistical Capacity Building (SCB) Program for its members, the Regional Statistics Committee Region 2 (RSC2) conducted the Training on Statistical Reporting and Public Speaking on 11 to 12 December 2024 at the Technology Commercialization Center, Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 2 (DA-RFO2), San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. 

12 December 2024 – TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN. As part of the Statistical Capacity Building (SCB) Program for its members, the Regional Statistics Committee Region 2 (RSC2) conducted the Training on Statistical Reporting and Public Speaking on 11 to 12 December 2024 at the Technology Commercialization Center, Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 2 (DA-RFO2), San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. 
In his welcome message, Mr. Anthony James C. Articulo, Chief Administrative Officer of the National Economic and Development Authority – Regional Office 2 (NEDA-RO2), shared to the participants the achievements of RSC2 and he extended his gratitude to all member-agencies for continuously supporting the activities of the committee. As he welcomed the participants of the training, he gave emphasis on the importance of gaining new skills and to always assume that they have zero knowledge of the topics to be discussed.

Ms. Ma Juvy S. Agbayani, Senior Statistical Specialist of the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD) of the Philippine Statistics Authority – Regional Statistical Services Office II, served as resource person during the first day and discussed the Introduction to Statistical Reporting and Data Presentation Techniques. In the afternoon, participants were given hands-on exercises in creating infographics using different statistical data, followed by the presentation of group outputs.

On the second day, Dr. Ferdinand N. Cortez, Public Relations Officer and Broadcast Head of the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) of the Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office 2 (DA-RFO2), presented and shared the Principles of Public Speaking and Dynamics of Speech, as well as Public Speaking Techniques and Speech Presentation. During the training, participants were challenged to deliver impromptu and extemporaneous speaking as part of the hands-on exercises given by the resource person.  

A total of 50 participants from RSC2 member-agencies attended and participated in the two-day training.
