08 August 2025 - TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority, Regional Statistical Services Office II (PSA RSSO II) conducted the Press Conference on the July 2025 Inflation on 08 August 2025 at PSA RSSO II Conference Hall, Regional Government Center (RGC), Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The press conference was attended by representatives from Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 2 (DA RFO2), RBC Cable Tuguegarao, Northern Bulletin, and DWPE Radyo Pilipinas.

Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of PSA RSSO II, presented the inflation report of Cagayan Valley Region for July 2025 that includes the headline inflation rate across commodities and commodity groups.

During the open forum, Mr. Baquiran from DA RFO2 mentioned that African Swine Fever (ASF) continues to affect hog farms in the region, limiting pork supply and keeping prices high. He assured that measures are in place to control the disease and support hog raisers in recovering the stocks. In addition, he shared that the region has sufficient rice supply, supported by the capacity of local millers, helping keep rice prices stable for consumers.
