The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Quirino Provincial Statistical Office officially launched its training for field personnel for the 2025 Updating of the List of Agricultural Farm Operators and Inland Fishing Households (ULAFO) and 2025 Listing of Marine Fish Landing Centers (ULAFO-LMFLC) on July 28 to August 1, 2025 at Coffeeshop, DISADECO, Diffun, Quirino.

The 2025 ULAFO and Inland Fishing Household aims to provide a complete list of agricultural operators and households engaged in inland fishing in the whole country. The 2025 LMFLC aims to provide an updated list of landing centers. Specifically, the ULAFO-LMFLC aims to generate a sampling frame for the conduct of agricultural surveys, quarterly inland fisheries surveys, and quarterly commercial and municipal surveys. 

The 2025 ULAFO and Inland Fishing Household Survey will cover all barangays not included in the 2022 Census of Agriculture and Fisheries (2022 CAF). However, the province of Quirino will be excluded from the LMFLC component due to the absence of the specified landing centers.

The training was designed to equip hired Statistical Researchers (SRs) and team supervisors with the essential knowledge, skills, and resources needed to conduct accurate and comprehensive listing operations across the province.

CSS Engr. Cherry Grace D. Agustin delivered her inspirational message, emphasizing the importance of quality data, which began with well-trained personnel. She highlighted that the training ensured all field workers were prepared to gather reliable and accurate information from every barangay in Quirino.

After the training, field personnel will be deployed to all municipalities of Quirino-Cabarroguis, Diffun, Saguday, Aglipay, Maddela, and Nagtipunan to begin the actual listing operation on August 11, 2025.
