BASCO, BATANES. The Philippine Statistics Authority - Batanes Provincial Statistical Office is conducting a Provincial Level Training for the July 2025 Labor Force Survey (LFS) and the 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit 1. This training takes place from June 30 to July 7, 2025 at Boulder Bay Residences in Barangay San Joaquin, Basco, Batanes.  The purpose of this training is to equip all hired Statistical Researchers, who will serve as Interviewers, with the necessary knowledge and techniques to perform their duties effectively during field operations. The success of these surveys relies heavily on the quality of the data collected. Therefore, the interviewers must adhere to the provided guidelines and instructions to ensure accurate data collection.

The Labor Force Survey and the Family Income and Expenditure Survey aim to assess the current state of the Philippine labor market, as well as to determine income distribution, living standards, spending patterns, and the degree of income inequality among families. The data gathered will serve as inputs to government policies and programs in improving the socio-economic conditions of the Filipino people.

Field operations for the July 2025 Labor Force Survey and the 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey Visit 1 will commence on July 8 and continue until July 31, 2025. The Philippine Statistics Authority requests the public’s full cooperation in this important activity.
