The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) conducts the 2025 National Migration
Survey (NMS) from August 4 to September 5, 2025. This important nationwide survey aims to collect updated data on internal and international migration patterns trends, and the demographic characteristics of migrants and their families. The 2025 NMS is designed to provide vital information for evidence-based planning,
policy-making, and development programs on population and migration at the national and local levels. It will also support the implementation and monitoring of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).To ensure accurate and reliable data, trained PSA personnel will visit randomly
selected households in pre-identified sample barangays across various municipalities in the province. Selected households will be asked about the migration experiences of household members, including reasons for moving destination, employment status, and other relevant topics. The PSA appeals for the full cooperation of all municipal and barangay officials in
facilitating the smooth and safe conduct of field operations in their respective areas. Likewise, the participation of selected households is crucial and highly appreciated. All information gathered will be held in strict confidentiality and will be used for statistical purposes only, in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and the confidentiality provisions of Republic Act No. 10625 (Philippine Statistical Act of 2013).The PSA assures the public that all enumerators will carry official PSA identification
and necessary authorization documents. We encourage everyone to verify their credentials and report any concerns to your local PSA office. The success of the 2025 National Migration Survey depends on the strong support
of local communities Together, let us work to build a better future through reliable and timely statistics.
