Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya — July 31, 2025. Held at the 2nd Floor of the MAGRO Building inside the Municipal Compound, local department heads, planners, and Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO) staff of Diadi gathered for an honest and productive discussion around the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) preliminary results — a session that proved both enlightening and empowering.
The activity was formally opened by Vice Mayor Hon. Rolito A. Dulnuan. His presence underscored the LGU’s collective commitment to data-informed governance and proactive community planning.
The presentation of the preliminary results was presented by Ms. Ma. Socorro M. Betwag, CBMS Focal Person from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Nueva Vizcaya. She was joined by Engr. Joel P. Basco, Officer-in-Charge of the PSA Nueva Vizcaya Statistical Office, and the rest of the PSA technical staff.
What made the session particularly engaging was the presence of Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Officer-in-Charge Regional Director of Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office (PSA RSSO II), who actively participated in the discussions. Engr. Bayucan encouraged department heads to give honest feedback asking whether the preliminary data accurately reflected the realities on the ground. His approach sparked thoughtful reactions and a dynamic exchange of insights.
He also took the time to answer all questions raised by the participants, creating a space where technical concerns and real-life experiences could intersect meaningfully. LGU officials expressed their satisfaction with how the session helped clarify issues, validate local knowledge, and deepen their understanding of the community’s socio-economic landscape.
As Diadi gears up for more inclusive and responsive local programs, this CBMS session reaffirmed the value of not just having data — but of listening, questioning, and interpreting it together.
