26 January 2024 - TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority - Regional Statistical Services Office II (PSA-RSSO II), led by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS), Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, underwent a Work Audit on 24 January to 26 January 2024, with auditors from the Internal Audit Division (IAD) of PSA.

The audit team was led by Internal Auditor V Malcolm C. Queyquep with Mr. Ralph Anthony T. Raneses, Internal Auditor II; Ms. Karen L. Catugas, Internal Auditor I;     Ms. Jayson N. Moran, Internal Auditor I; and Ms. Rachelle S. Puno, Internal Auditor I as members.

In his opening message, OIC Bayucan emphasized the importance of ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and adherence to established standards within the agency's operational and managerial frameworks.

“This audit is crucial for us to improve our processes and the quality of our work, to consistently deliver products and services that meet or exceed our clients’ expectations,” OIC Bayucan added. 

The audit team meticulously reviewed the conformity of transactions and processes of the office, evaluating its alignment with the laws, regulations, managerial policies, and operating procedures of PSA. This assessment also encompassed a thorough examination of the office's compliance with accountability measures and contractual obligations.

Furthermore, the performance standards of both the Statistical Operations and Coordination Division (SOCD), and the Civil Registration and Administrative Division (CRASD) were also assessed during the audit. This comprehensive evaluation aimed to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the PSA-RSSO II's operations.
