Philippine Statistics Authority-Isabela personnel with the training experts from PDRRMC-Isabela during the lecture, hands-on, and awarding of certificates on the one-day training of BLS-SFA

04 April 2025 – CITY OF ILAGAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority-Isabela, in partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC), conducted a comprehensive one-day lecture and hands-on training on the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA).

The training aimed to equip PSA-Isabela personnel with essential life-saving skills, including Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), proper wound care, and emergency response techniques.

The event featured expert trainers from the PDRRMC headed by the Assistant Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer, Romanico D. Daguio, who guided the PSA personnel through the simulation of choking rescue techniques, bandaging methods, and emergency medical response strategies. Through these activities, PSA- Isabela personnel enhanced their preparedness to respond effectively to medical emergencies in the workplace and in the community.

The initiative aligns with the PSA-Isabela’s commitment to employee welfare and disaster preparedness, ensuring that members are equipped with critical survival skills.
