30 October 2024 – CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Isabela fruitfully concluded its provincewide month-long celebration of the 35th National Statistics Month (NSM) with engaging contests that showcased the talents and creativity of participants from various schools on 30 October 2024 (Wednesday) at NorthStar Mall, Maharlika Hi-way, Alibagu, City of Ilagan, Isabela.
Among the standout events were the StaTiktok Dance Challenge for Senior High School students and the NSM Jingle Dance for College students. The StaTiktok Dance Challenge invited creative expressions through original dance routines , while the NSM Jingle Dance encouraged groups to perform original steps in promotion and appreciation of the statistics which incorporated the 35th NSM theme “Advancing Data and Statistics Through Digital Transformation: A Road to an Empowered Nation.”
The winners of the contested activities were given a certificate of recognition, and a cash prize, to wit:

Moreover, Mr. Cirilo N. Gazzingan, Jr., Provincial Officer of Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) - Isabela, oriented the participants with Cybersecurity Awareness to leverage their awareness and understanding about cybersecurity best practices, and how to identify, and avoid cyber threats.
Mr. Julius M. Emperador, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA - Isabela, expressed his utmost gratitude and appreciation to all the participants to the month-long activities who contributed to the success of the 35th NSM. He highlighted how the activities not only showcased talent and creativity but also deepened the public’s understanding of the importance of statistics in everyday decision-making. “The success of this 35th NSM is a testament to our collective commitment to promoting statistical literacy and fostering a culture of evidence-based decision-making,” he added.
The National Statistics Month (NSM) is an annual celebration spearheaded by the PSA, held every October, to promote awareness about the importance of statistics in national development.
