CSWDO Mr. Melvin Perez [centermost] and Registration Officer II Ms. Jovy Ann Morana [leftmost] during the discussion of National ID Rehistro Bulilit.

22 January 2025, Tuguegarao City – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Cagayan headed by Officer-In-Charge Cristeta M. Retoma in partnership with the City Government of Tuguegarao through the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office, conducted a meeting with Child Development Workers (CDWs) to enhance the dissemination of information on the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) and ensure the inclusion of children, particularly daycare pupils, in the National ID registration process.

Guided by CSWD head Sir Melvin Perez, the meeting highlighted the importance of registering children for the National ID as part of the government’s mission to provide accessible and efficient public services to all Filipinos, regardless of age.

The session equipped Child Development Workers with essential information about the benefits of the National ID system and the steps required to register children. As part of this initiative, an inventory was also undertaken to determine how many daycare pupils are already registered for the National ID and how many have yet to complete their registration.

PSA Cagayan reaffirmed its commitment to bringing National ID closer to the community and ensuring that all citizens, starting from early childhood, benefit from this unified identification system.

Parents and guardians of unregistered children are encouraged to coordinate with their respective daycare centers or visit the nearest National ID registration centers to complete the process. The PSA and CSWD remain dedicated to working collaboratively toward achieving inclusive National ID registration in Tuguegarao City.
