
22 March 2025, Tuguegarao City- Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office headed by Supervising Statistical Specialist, Officer-In-Charge (OIC) Cristeta M. Retoma, actively participated in the Barangay People’s Day held at Barangay Pengue Ruyu, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan upon the invitation of the City Government of Tuguegarao. The event, which brought together various government agencies, aimed to provide essential services to constituents and strengthen community engagement through accessible frontline services.
As part of the initiative, the PSA Cagayan’s National ID Team and Birth Registration Project Assistance unit joined the activity to facilitate the registration and issuance of key documents. The National ID Team successfully registered 17 clients for the National ID and issued 8 National IDs in paper form. Among those registered, 4 children were aged 0 to 4 years old, while 13 individuals were 5 years old and above. Additionally, one resident received his Returned-to-Sender National ID card, ensuring that all citizens have access to their official identification.
PSA Cagayan remains committed to its mission of providing efficient and inclusive civil registration and identification services, bringing government programs closer to the people. The agency extends its gratitude to the City Government of Tuguegarao and all partner agencies for making the Barangay People’s Day a success.
