Penne P. Oganasa and Carmen O. Magyan, both senior citizens and the rest of beneficiaries of BRAP with CSS Julius M. Emperador and Municipal Mayor Lynn M. Zuniega-Dy during the Awarding of Free Birth Certificate in Security Paper at Taliktik, Cordon, Isabela. 

 

19 January 2025 – CORDON, ISABELA. The Community Center of Taliktik hosted the ceremonial awarding of free birth certificates, printed on security paper, to 52 Indigenous People and beneficiaries of the Birth Registration Assistance Project. This collaborative effort between PSA-Isabela and LGU Cordon ensures the official recognition of the beneficiaries in the Civil Registry.

Among the recipients were Penne Ogasana, 82 years old, honored as the oldest participant, and Carmen O. Magyan, 79 years old, recognized as the second oldest recipient. The event emphasized the importance of civil registration in empowering communities and providing access to government services. Hon. Mayor Lynn Zuniega expressed her appreciation to PSA-Isabela and the MCR Office, led by OIC Ms. Gina Pimentel. Additionally, CSS Julius M. Emperador encouraged attendees to take advantage of the free delayed birth registration process offered through BRAP.

The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude from the beneficiaries, who received their vital documents unlocking opportunities to access other government services. This initiative underscores a commitment to bridging documentation gaps and promoting inclusivity, particularly in underserved areas.
