TOTAL VERIFICATION PER MUNICIPALITY
One of the major programs of the Philippine Statistics Authority is the implementation of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) in the country to ensure that all births of Filipinos are registered in the Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs). This project aims to increase civil registration, especially in marginalized communities such as those belonging to the Indigenous people, Muslim Filipinos, and the poorest sector in the country which is a gateway for them to claim their social benefits and legal identity.
To intensify the campaign in improving civil registration in alignment with the three goals of the civil registration and Vital Statistics Decade for 2015-2024, efforts are focused on registering unregistered births and other registry documents.
As the continuously implemented around the country, PSA successfully registered beneficiaries of the BRAP which covered citizens of all ages: children and even senior citizens. More and more Filipinos benefited especially those persons in marginalized communities, Indigenous People, Muslim Filipinos and Poorest sector of the country, and persons currently living in their place of birth.
As of January 2025, a total of 8,342 birth records were received PSA-Civil Registration Services for verification whether they have births certificates in the Civil Registry System database. Out of this number, a total of 8,342 birth records have been verified, wherein 7,330 have no birth records while 1,012 were resulted to positive verification. Those who have no record will undergo the process of delayed registration at the concerned LCRO for registration. A total of 1,673 Certificates of Live Birth (COLB) have already been printed in Security Paper and issued to the Beneficiaries.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Statistical Office and Local Government Units of Nueva Vizcaya has successfully registered a total of 3,824 Individuals as of January 2025 versus the targeted 2,795 individuals.

In the coordination of Barangay Government Local Unit and Local Civil Registrar’s office in the Municipality of Dupax Del Sur, the Philippine Statistics Authority - Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya awarded Certificates of Live Births (COLB) in Security paper (SECPA) to the one hundred thirty-three (133) beneficiaries under Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) last February 07, 2025.
During the awarding, MCR Catalina R. Padilla and staff, CSS Cholly L. Bayon together with the Barangay Staff were awarded one hundred thirty-three (133) in 18 barangays : Seven (7) in Barangay Caroloran, eleven (11) in Barangay Sanguit, twelve (12) in Ganao, fifteen (15) in Barangay Kinabuan, nine (9) in Barangay Canabay, eight (8) in Barangay Abaca, twelve (12) in Brangay Lukidnon, thirteen (13) in Barangay Biruk, twelve (12) in Barangay Talbek, three (3) in Barangay Kimbutan, two (2) in Barangay banila, one (1) in Barangay Pabolotan, two (2) in Barangay Domang, five (5) in Barangay Dopaj, eight (8) in Barangay Bagumbayan, one (1) Barangay Balzain, two (2) in Barangay Sta. Maria and ten (10) in Baragay Mangayang in the Municipality of Dupax Del Sur.
One of the registrants, a long-time resident of Barangay Dopaj finally received her birth certificate after 79 years. She expressed her profound gratitude for being able to obtain her certificate for free. Marking the successful completion of a precise process of registration that involved screening, data verification, and application for delayed registration of birth at Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO).
-Local Government Unit of Diadi
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office, in collaboration with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya through the Municipal Registrar’s Office, has succesfully awarded three (3) SECPA to the beneficiaries under the PSA’s Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP). The awarding ceremony was conducted in Barangay Villa Aurora, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya.
The Ceremony was led by Municipal Civil Registrar Officer Zenaida G. Malvar and her staff, PSA Nueva Vizcaya Chief Statistical Specialist Cholly L. Bayon and Birth Registration Agent-COSW Frishianne Kim B. Pambid.
The successful awarding of the SECPA of Birth Certificates of the BRAP Beneficiaries in Diadi is a good example of the Birth Registration smooth implementation of PSA and LGUs. Furthermore, the project entails assisting with delayed birth registration, facilitating the out-of-town registration, and verifying the existence of civil registry records from the PSA Civil Registry database.
The BRAP beneficiaries’ birth record is being used to access social programs of the government or private transactions. This certificates are also required for applications to schools, jobs and among others. This Civil registration project is anticipated to improve the quality of life for the beneficiaries. Surprisingly, the Municipality of Diadi has surpassed it’s stated goal, from 241 target registrants to 372 registrants.
