BASCO, BATANES. To promote comprehensive registration within the National ID System for all residents of Batanes, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Batanes is undertaking a house-to-house registration initiative. This program specifically addresses the need to register remaining populations, with particular emphasis on children under five years of age.

Following the recent extension of registration to include children aged 0 to 11 months, all age groups are now eligible to participate in the National ID registration process. Notably, many areas within the province have experienced high registration rates, leading to a saturation of registrations in several locations. Consequently, the house-to-house registration effort is designed to reach individuals who may have missed prior registration activities in their respective barangays or municipalities, as well as children whose parents were unable to transport them to registration centers.

As of February 28, 2025, the Province of Batanes has successfully registered 18,360 individuals, which exceeds 100.40 percent of the projected population for the province in 2023.
