08 May 2025 – Peñablanca, Cagayan. A total of 84 residents from the municipality of Peñablanca were successfully registered during the National ID registration activity conducted by the Philippine Statistics Authority – Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office (PSACagayan) in partnership with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Peñablanca.

This initiative is part of PSA’s ongoing commitment to bring National ID registration closer to communities, particularly those with limited access to fixed registration centers. Of the total registrants, 4 were children aged 0 to 4 years old, while 80 were individuals aged 5 years and above.

The successful registration is part of PSA’s continuing efforts to ensure that every Filipino has access to a valid and secure national identification card, which can be used for a variety of government and private transactions. With the full support of the LGU, the activity was carried out smoothly and efficiently, allowing residents to conveniently complete their registration.

The National ID, issued under Republic Act No. 11055, is a secure and government-issued form of identification designed to streamline public service delivery, enhance social protection programs, and improve access to essential services such as banking, healthcare, and education.

PSA–Cagayan expresses its sincere gratitude to the LGU of Peñablanca for its assistance and cooperation in making the registration activity a success. This collaborative effort highlights the shared commitment of both agencies to bring government services closer to all, including those in far-flung or underserved areas.

For more information on National ID registration schedules, the public is encouraged to contact their local government offices or visit the official PSA Cagayan communication channels.
