07 May 2025 – Tuguegarao City. In its continuing effort to make the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) more accessible to the public, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Cagayan Provincial Statistical Office (PSACagayan), under the leadership of Supervising Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Cristeta M. Retoma, successfully conducted an institutional registration activity at Raphael General Hospital.

A total of 18 individuals were registered during the activity, including 5 children aged 0 to 4 years old and 13 individuals aged 5 years old and above.

This initiative forms part of PSA’s strategic efforts to reach various sectors of society—including patients, children, and hospital personnel—by bringing government services directly to institutions and communities. Through mobile and institutional registrations, PSA aims to ensure that all Filipinos, especially those who may face challenges in accessing fixed registration centers, are included in the national database.

The activity also supports the broader goal of universal registration under Republic Act No. 11055, or the Philippine Identification System Act.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to register their children early. For registrants aged below five years, especially infants, the registration process involves capturing only a front-facing photograph. Their PhilSys Number (PSN) is then linked to their parent or guardian’s record.

This successful registration activity at Raphael General Hospital underscores PSA Cagayan’s commitment to inclusive service delivery and responsive governance through data-driven initiatives.

For more information on the National ID and upcoming National ID registration activities, please visit (PSACagayan) or its various communication channels.
