11 June 2024 – CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA. In line with its  commitment to bring statistical standards including statistical classification systems at the local level, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Isabela conducted a training on the adoption of the updated Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC) among the Local Government Units (LGUs) in the province of Isabela on 11 June 2024, Tuesday, at Piazza Zicarelli Hotel, Restaurant, and Bakeshop, Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

The training aimed to orient and capacitate the participants in accomplishing the Unified Business Permit Application Form (UBPAF) using the updated PSIC, in classifying the line of businesses of establishments to facilitate uniformity and comparability of industrial statistics in the country.

Personnel from PSA – Isabela, namely: (1) Engr. Marivic M. Garcia, Senior Statistical Specialist; (2) Ms. Thelma G. Castillo, Statistical Specialist II; (3) Ms. Cristilu A. Geronimo, Statistical Specialist II; and Ms. Zamantha Louline L. Respicio, Statistical Analyst (COSW), served as resource speakers.

Furthermore, Engr. Bryan H. Tomas, Information Systems Analyst (ISA) – I from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) – Isabela, provided an overview of the Electronic Local Government Unit (eLGU) System, a part of DICT’s eGov PH Super App – which is a unified platform aimed to streamline all government services into a single application, and simplifying the processes of government services, such as business permits.

Officers and employees of the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) from various LGUs in Isabela actively engaged in the said training.
