10 June 2024 – CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Isabela reported the inflation rate of Isabela province during the Cagayan Valley Press Conference on May 2024 Inflation conducted by the PSA – Regional Statistical Services Office II (PSA – RSSO II) on 10 June 2024, Monday, at Conference Hall, PSA RSSO II, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. The presscon was also broadcasted live on the official Facebook page of PSA – RSSO II, PSA Cagayan Valley – Region 02.
Mr. Julius M. Emperador, Chief Statistical Specialist of PSA – Isabela, provided a detailed report on Isabela’s overall inflation rate, its trends, main sources of inflation, and inflation rates by major commodity group, and food groups. Moreover, Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Chief Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge of PSA – RSSO II, and Ms. Cristeta M. Retoma, Supervising Statistical Specialist and Officer-in-Charge of PSA – Cagayan, presented the inflation report of Cagayan Valley region and Cagayan province, respectively.
The presscon was participated by media personalities from various media agencies. In addition, representatives from different Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), such as National Economic and Development Authority Regional Office No. 02 (NEDA RO2), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 02, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) – Tuguegarao Branch, Department of Agriculture Regional Field Office 2 (DA RFO2), and Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region 2 were present and shared important insights about the current inflation trends and ongoing interventions to address the economic challenges that were highlighted in the reports.
