Registration of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) and Information Drive Campaign regarding the National ID.

23 January 2025, Tuguegarao City – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Cagayan headed by the Officer-In-Charge, Cristeta M. Retoma successfully conducted an institutional registration activity alongside an information drive for the officers and Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in Lallo Municipal Jail.

The initiative aimed to ensure that both the officers and PDLs are included in the National ID, a program designed to provide all Filipinos with a valid and unified proof of identity. The activity underscores PSA Cagayan’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and accessibility, especially for marginalized and underserved sectors of society.

During the event, the PSA team facilitated on-site National ID registration for eligible individuals, providing an opportunity for participants to complete the process conveniently. Simultaneously, an information drive was conducted to educate attendees on the benefits of the National ID and its role in streamlining government and private transactions, enhancing access to social services, and fostering financial inclusion.

PSA Cagayan extends its gratitude to the BJMP Lallo Municipal Jail for its cooperation and support in the successful implementation of this activity. By reaching out to institutions such as BJMP, PSA Cagayan reaffirms its dedication to ensuring that no one is left behind in the government’s pursuit of a more inclusive and efficient identification system.

For more information on the Philippine Identification System or upcoming registration activities, the public is encouraged to contact the PSA Cagayan office or visit PSA’s official website.
