The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Quirino Provincial Statistical Office successfully conducted the 1st Preliminary Data Review on the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) for the Province of Quirino.
The data review was held on July 8, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Function Room, LGU Building, San Leonardo, Aglipay, Quirino, in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Aglipay.
The presentation of preliminary CBMS data was facilitated by Chief Statistical Specialist (CSS) Engr. Cherry Grace D. Agustin, Senior Statistical Specialists (SrSS) Marison S. Lomboy and Ma. Juvy S. Agbayani of PSA Regional Statistical Services Office II (RSSO II), with assistance of COSW Statistical Specialist II Joan G. Salas and Information Systems Analyst II Psyche R. Villanueva of PSA Quirino.
Mayor Jerry T. Agsalda is represented by Municipal Civil Registrar (MCR) Benida Dangpaliw Factor, who delivered her welcome remarks and CSS Engr. Cherry Grace D. Agustin emphasized the importance of CBMS data in local development planning and evidence-based policy-making. She also expressed her appreciation for the active participation and continued support of LGU Aglipay—especially through the partnership with the Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), headed by Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, Ms. Lailane T. Cabato, EnP. —in the successful conduct of the 2024 CBMS.
The activity was attended by twenty-one (21) participants from various offices of the LGU Aglipay, as well as two (2) participants each from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP).
The PSA Quirino extends its gratitude to the LGU Aglipay and all participating agencies for their commitment to improving local governance through quality statistics. The conduct of the Preliminary Data Review marks a crucial step toward the validation and utilization of community-level data, which will serve as a foundation for responsive programs and inclusive development. Similar activities will be conducted in the remaining municipalities of Quirino to ensure that all local governments are equally equipped with updated and accurate CBMS data for planning and policy formulation.
