TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN. The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office II (PSA RSSO II) recently conducted its Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) Quiz Bee Regional Elimination on 10 February held at PSA RSSO II Conference Room. 

The activity showcased the brilliance and intellectual prowess of the 12 first-timer regular staffs from the different Local Civil Registry Offices (LCROs) in the four provinces of the region.

After intense rounds of challenging questions, Engr. Girme M. Bayucan, Officer-in-Charge, RSSO II together with Engr. Rose Q. Pacay awarded the top three winners: Ms. Nelia A. Culian, Registration Officer III of LCRO Maddela, Quirino hailed as the Champion, Ms. Rodemi Maye C. Arago, Registration Officer II, LCRO Tuguegarao City, Cagayan and 
Ms. Jescelle Jan Marie Navalta, Registration Officer I, LCRO Villaverde garnered the 2^nd and 3^rd place, respectively.

Ms. Culian will then represent the region during the 5^th National CRVS Quiz Bee on 28 February at PSA Headquarters, Quezon City.

The National CRVS Quiz Bee will cover the Creation of PSA, CRVS history, information, business processes, policies and procedures, Memorandum Circulars, Civil Registry System – Information Technology Project Phase II, projects and programs of the PSA in relation to civil registration, laws relating to CRVS.
