
Villaverde, Nueva Vizcaya | July 15, 2025 – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) officialy presented the 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Preliminary Results on Tuesday at the Sala de Conferencias, Casa del Pueblo, Ibung, Villaverde.
The activity was attended by department heads and staff from various LGU offices, representatives from the Philippine National Police, and visitors from the local business sector, and staff from PSA-Nueva Vizcaya. Among the key attendees was Engr. Joel P. Basco, Officer-in-Charge of the PSA Nueva Vizcaya Statistical Office.
While Mayor Atty. Ronelie U. Valtoribio was unable to attend, she was represented by her Executive Assistant, Ms. Dawn Renee V. Algura, who delivered the welcome message on her behalf. In her remarks, she mentioned the critical role of CBMS in shaping Villaverde’s future: “The CBMS is a powerful tool for local planning. It equips us to make decisions that will build a safe home and haven for the next generation of Villaverde”.
The key findings were presented by Ms. Ma. Socorro M. Betwag, Senior Statistical Specialist and CBMS Provincial Focal Person, who provided a comprehensive overview of Villaverde’s demographic and socio-economic profile including poverty incidence, employment, education, health, housing, and sanitation indicators.
An open forum followed, where department heads raised clarifying questions and offered initial observations, signaling their readiness to translate the data into concrete action.
Villaverde LGU is poised to enhance its evidence-based programs and services in pursuit of equitable and sustainable development.
